ok, weather's now looking not-so-great again. I'm gonna stay home & attend to my messy, foodless apartment.

Coincidentally, Brian and I drove around that area yesterday (on the way back from a friend's house in queens), and I was able to point out to him that I have paddled in pretty much all the water one can see from the Grand Central Parkway and the Triborough Bridge.

I checked quickly, and it looks like the tides are favorable -- High Tide at the battery is at 11:44am, which would get us to Edgewater at a civilized time for lunch.

I definitely might be up for lunch in Edgewater weather & tides permitting - usually that's an every other week thing though.

Saturday was pretty crazy weatherwise anyways - we hit one pocket of turbulence coming into LaGuardia that had people screaming a little bit. I was too busy taking pictures of Hell Gate to care. Fun seeing it from the air for once!
