It looks like something pretentious and expensive is going into the Big Cup’s space. Just what Chelsea needs.

Another coffee place (Java Boy) and the bar which hosted it (View) seems to have bit the dust. I looked out the window this morning and saw that Java Boy was closed. Walking by, I saw these signs..

There are other choices for coffee in that part of the neighborhood — Murray’s Bagels and of course, Starbucks. But what’s up with the businesses on that block?

PS: I’ve heard the guy who owns View is in the HVAC business (in which capacity he had David Barton gym as a customer), and isn’t gay. Just saying.

Update: I’ve been away. The View, and a bunch of other places, were shut down because people were naughty there.
